Itinerary -
Day 01: Kathgodam - Pithoragarh (Drive)
Drive from Kathgodam to Pithoragarh. Overnight in tents.
Day 02: Pithoragarh - Jhulaghat (Drive) Chaukidhari (Raft)
Post breakfast, drive from Pithoragarh to put-in point at Jhulaghat (02 hrs). From here raft an initiation stretch of 15 kms of Class II+ rapids passing many stalactite and stalagmite formations. We reach the camp by late afternoon and hike to nearby village. Overnight in tents.
Day 03: Chaukidhari - Pancheshwar (Raft)
Post breakfast, we start the rafting towards Pancheshwar. Pancheshwar is located at the confluence of the Kali and Saryu rivers, and is a well-known fishing spot. We end the rafting just after the confluence and set up camp here for the night. Overnight in tents.
Day 04: Pancheshwar - Daurigaon (Raft)
The day is extremely exciting for enthusiasts as we go through a number of Class III rapids and also 2 big rapids - Tergad and Garhmukteshwar. This run is through completely inhabited and desolate areas and the beauty is breath-taking. Overnight in tents.
Day 05: Daurigaon - Parigaon(Raft)
Today is another big day as we raft down through a series of big rapids to end with the Class IV Chooka rapid. We camp just below this rapid. Overnight in tents.
Day 06: Parigaon - Boom (Raft) - Kathgodam (Drive)
Today is a day of continuous Class III and III+ rapids. End the rafting trip at Boom and from here we drive to Kathgodam. TRIP ENDS HERE.

How to Reach
Kathgodam, the starting and end point of the trip, is well connected to Delhi by road and air. There are 2 trains that depart from Delhi for Kathgodam – one at 6:15 am and the other at 4:00 pm, and one overnight train that departs at 8:15 pm. The rail journey is usually covered in 5-8 hrs depending on the train.
The road connections between Delhi and Kathgodam are through buses that depart from the ISBT bus station in Old Delhi. There are buses to suit every budget including basic state transport buses to luxury Volvo coaches. The road journey would take 6-7 hrs and are available throughout the day.

The Kali river is on the Indo-Nepal border. This river trip takes you down the upper sections of this river and you would be rafting through a variety of landscape including thick forest, farms, sandy beaches, etc. before you hit the plains. In addition to the natural beauty, there are a number of Class II - IV rapids to relish and the lack of any road support makes the trip a truly outdoor experience.
